Why would anyone care about game benchmarks on a server.
Servers are not designed to play games. Servers are designed to store and transfer large amounts of data. Reliability, compatability, and 100% accuracy is the goal. NOT game or office benchmarks.

WTG Rick, thanks for clearing that up for everyone.

yes, the large cache on the xeon was put in place with server-work in mind. To properly test the athlonMP vs. the xeon it would have to be in a server-setting.

Let me clue you in on something here...

Pentium 4 has: 256KB cache
Pentium 4 Xeon has: 256KB cache
256KB-256KB=0KB

If you want truly suitable benchmarks for such a platform...try AnandTech or Ace's Hardware--keeping in mind that the AthlonMP has gained quite a bit of speed since then, while the Xeon has not.
