Ok, I have two .avis that I have converted to DVD format.

Does anyone know how I can:
a) Create a simple menu to switch between each movie
b) Put both movies on one disk.

I say movies, but it is actually Ricky Gervais standup (Animals and Politics)

Won't Windows Movie Maker do what you are asking?

And the sign says "You got to have a membership card to get inside" Huh
So I got me a pen and paper And I made up my own little sign</pre><p></font color=red>

I don't think so. Last time I check WMM was a video editing program for WMV/AVI files.

What I'm looking for is to combine two seperate dvd encoded movies (I already have the .vob files etc) into one DVD and to make a menu so I can choose which movie to play.

I personally loved Roxio's DVD Creator for how easy it was and how fast the creation went. It's basically as if you wanna make a photo album but with videos as well. Menus are supplied as templates but are pretty neat.

Only issue is that this software will either work on your PC or wreck it, given the Roxio track record...

Did that on my PC, but didn't on my buddy's or my uncle's one. I was unlucky I guess.

Otherwise any trialware on download.com can be sufficient for the amount of work you are asking for.

With my Plextor burner came Roxio, and I believe Roxio DVD Builder does what you seek.
Did software come with your burner?

Alternatively, you can try Premiere Pro 1.5 or even Nero Ultra 6's DVD creation software, which should also provide the essentials.

The Nerovision Express part of Nero 6 will do it.

Get a cheap dvd player that will play avi, divx & xvid etc. There is one on Microdirect for only £44.00. Saves a lot of time converting formats to dvd, you have to value your time. Divx 6 also has menu capabilities. If the disc is for someone else then try nero.

Carragher, probably the best Scouser in the world.

Yeah I have one, but I prefer to convert them to DVD so I can lend them to my friends / play down stairs. I keep the .avi file on the DVD too.
