Hi,

A little time ago, before I started playing D&D I stumbled upon some tools
for Palm-os. They were like dice-calculators, etc. Now That i need them most
I don't seem to find them back.

Maybe a good thread to make a list of available free-ware tools/recources
that a DM could use on its palm to keep track of things.

Thanks,

EJ

If you dont mind visiting ENWorld, check out their software/computer
forum as there was a thread there about a month ago about this exact
same thing.

You should be able to find a few options there.
I'm in a similar boat, but for PocketPC, and there definitely is not
as many options as Palm.

I always thought it would be nice if I could build some of the tables
and dice rolls so they could run on a PDA or cell phone. That way, you
don't have the encumbrance of a laptop...

I've been working on some D&D 3.5 based tools in J2ME using the MIDP
interface (Java for cell phones and PDA's). It's not done mostly
because I don't have a J2ME device to test it on(You can download Java
for Palm at java.sun.com). You need PalmOS 3.5 at least.

Here is the list of features:
Dice Roller, Greyhawk Campaign Calendar, Skill Check Roller, XP
calculator, encumbrance calculator
In the works:
Treasure Generator, Weather Generator, Encounter Generator

If anyone else is interested, and know something about installing J2ME
apps onto devices, I would appreciate the help in getting this thing
the final mile.
