have just installed XP and they don't detect either of my 2 CD Drives (Yamaha and noname, would be letters H: and I
. Bios detects them, Win98 (the second OS I removed in hope it could be the cause) did too and even XP detect them in safe mode. Both on the same IDE channel, Master/Slave set okay, tried plugging one of them out, in the administrator tools the log tells me that the device "didn't reply within the time limit" (translation from my localized version of winXP), event ID: 9 source: atapi (about 6 times in the log for each boot). I'm quite desperate and am out of ideas... Thanks
