I have a Lenovo G550 laptop. I installed a Microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse and everything works fine. However, when I unplug the USB wireless thingie so that I can take the laptop with me on the road and use the keyboard and touchpad that is part of the laptop, they DO NOT WORK! How can I make them work? Many thanks!

but anyways,

do your touchpad + builtin keyboard work while wireless counterparts are connected?

when disconnecting wireless devices, are you doing it while laptop is still on or off?

have you tried rebooting the laptop when the touchpad + builtin keyboard are non-responsive? does the issue persist?

can you give us your mother board make/model number?

have you tried updating drivers for your motherboard?

have you tried contacting lenovo tech support about this issue?
