Hi,

I got this error message:
IKernel.exe Application Error
The instruction @ "0x771c741a" referenced memory at "0x00163788". The memor could not be "read".

I do NOT have antivirus installed... Any ideas what's going on? Could this indicate something is wrong with my hardware (mobo or cpu)? Because my computer has been acting really strange lately.

"I do NOT have antivirus installed"

That could be your problem right there. Get antivirus software immediately and run a scan. If you only got that message once I would ignore it. Regardless of what's causing the error, you should do yourself and the rest of the world a favor and install AV software. I recommend Norton.

I'll keep preaching this until a better reason comes up, but SP1 caused me lots of problems. After clean installing Windows without SP1, the problems I had before haven't come back. More details here
