According to notebookcheck.net, the i5-2410M is only slightly faster than the 560M so performance there isn't a huge issue. The same is true for the HD 5730 and GTS 540M. The only difference I can see between the two is that the ATi GPU uses 26W and the nVidia GPU uses 35W. That's a increase of 35% in GPU power use. I would say that this is a much bigger difference in terms of battery life and heat than both performance differences combined. Both CPUs use 35W so that's not an issue at all. The N53 has a performance advantage from its 7200rpm hard drive vs the Y560p's 5400rpm hard drive. Again, this will be at a cost. The cost is battery life because as you can expect, the 7200rpm will use considerably more power than the 5400rpm. It's a really tough call because they're so close to each other. If you want total performance, get the N53. If you want maximum battery life, get the Y560P. I would expect you'd be looking at 15-30 extra minutes of battery life with the Y560P and you'd be looking at about a 5%-10% overall increase in performance with the N53. I hope this clarifies things for you. If you're interested, I do have a thread that helps people choose a laptop by explaining how the laptop market and its products work.
