I'm in the market for a new laptop. I do not play video games or edit movies. My normal use is reading and research, but I often have several browsers open at once. Occasionally, I watch a movie. In my search, I've emphacized screen size and hard drive size. Below, is my short list. Besides the screen and hard drive sizes, what would be the functional difference between these two for my purposes? ___

_With Intel Core i5-480M (2.66/2.93GHz), 4 GB RAM, 750 GB HD (5400 RPM), Blue Ray, 512MB VRAM, 17.3" screen.

_With Intel Core i7-740QM 1.73/2.93GHz), 4 GB RAM, 500 GB HD (7200 RPM), Blue Ray, 1GB VRAM, 16.4" screen.

Hello LB;

Either one of those is far more laptop that you need for your stated purposes. What kind of prices are you looking at there? A Blu-Ray player is necessarily needed for HD movies movies, unless you have Blu-Ray discs you need to play.

What make and model of laptops are those? We can probably find some competitive ive options at lower prices.
