So they go just like intel.
P4 2.0 ghz was just to some room before AMD release there PAL.Now AMD make some room before the release of northwood.

I will like tho see a benchmark.

and given the thermal output of the athlon xp
(1800+ = 66W = athlon 1.2)
i can imagine them releasing at least two more speed revisions, if not 3... before they slowly adapt to 0.13 micron next year.

I just hope they can release the .13 micron process in time for competition with Northwood.

AMD technology + Intel technology = Intel/AMD Pentathlon IV; the ULTIMATE PC processor

according to the timescale,
amd will start a 0.13 micron process in first quarter next year, with the 0.13 micron chip, the thouroughbred sometime a bit later. also next year is SIO technology too... amd is supposed to be fully 0.13 by the end of the year
