Hmmm.. you may be able to push it to 1.6 with the mc462 and upping the voltage.... If i could afford a swiftech i would have one now they're awesome.

yes, but you'll also want case fans to cool your motherboard too. If you overclock, all your system will eventually heat up, so you also need good air flow.

I want a swifttech with a 80mm pabst fan, so I can have my cake and not have my ears bleed when I try to eat it too.

swiftech actually have two monsters now...
MC-462A
MCX462

the X is better as the pins have those helical groves, smaller pins and more of em and a 80mm delta with optional rheostat.

ive seen two reviews with the alpha pal 8045 & the mc-462A... both come out about the same... and i too wanna see how the new improved swiftech performs

[vent]just wish to dear god the local shop would MOVE THEIR FREAKIN ASSES and get the MCX462 in stock![/vent]

Is that a Northwoody in your pocket or are you just eXPited to see me?

Where can you get the Pabst fans, and do you know if they will fit on the Alpha Pal8045?

They alpha is close to the Swiftech, and about $20 cheeper from what I've seen.

Also, anyone know if either will fit on a GA-7vtx-P?

any 80mm fan will fit onto the mc462a, mcx462 or pal8045... its just that the high powered ones usually require a 4pin connector so dont have a monitoring function. (the swiftech ones DO have a second line for monitoring :) )

and check
alpha's or swiftechs webby for compatibility
