I wish i never had tried to install via 4-1 on xp

Well my systam is p3 coppermine with a VIa apollo 133 chipset everything worked fine and also 3d was fast before installing the 4-1 drivers , can anyone tell me why my system trys to reinstall my HDD after reboot and why i end up with SCSI devices and also why my system scores less in 3d too, I restored the system to an earlioer date dbut 3d has stayed low maybe these crappy drivers arte messing up something in the regisry, by the way it was 4-1 vers1.0R0 If that *%#8ed up my system..should i install a later build of drivers or do i have to reformat and reinstall xp.ADVICE pleaseee

You installed the latest 4-in-1 Hyperion drivers from viaarena.com? <A HREF="http://www.viaarena.com/?PageID=2" target="_new">Drivers page</A>, down at the moment of this post. Try using booting to your Windows XP CD and running a repair before resorting to a clean install.

Try rolling back the drivers in device mgr. on win xp. If you need more specifics, let me know...

ok weiss ill try rolling back hte drivers and let you know if it works, and no, i have not installed the hyperion drivers, becausi i was thinking that i should have a goood system to start with and also because my chipset is an apollo 133 for pentium 3 slot1( a bit old), but how do i do a repair from the xp cd? would it be enough just to boot from it? thanks guys

YESSSSSSSSSSSSS i installed the hyperion drivers and wow my system is working really good now everything is quicker ...i have another question though ,, after running sandra pro i get a message on cpu and mainboard modules saying that my IOCD is low and it could affect performance?
does anybody know what this means?????? and how i can fix it.

I would've checked back sooner, but you replied to yourself instead of one of us. (I monitor threads through the email tracking.) Nice to hear it worked with the Hyperion drivers...sw00t! I don't know about any IOCD...check if there's more details on this. I'm not sure, though.
