Celeron 1.2GHz === P3 1.2GHz??

I update my mobo BIOS with new 1.2GHz Celeron....But it shows P3 1.2GHz oc 1.6GHz........ And I asked my friend(BIOS engineer). He told me INTEL asked them to show it as Celeron 1.2GHz!!??

look at your FSB (front side bus) if is 100 that a celeron if 133 that a P3.Except that every thing is the same in theory.On real time test you will see that your celeron is 6% to 7 % slower for a unknow reason.Maybe AGTL who dont work very good.(Suggestion)

celleron allso only comes in 256k cache version. tully is 256 or 512

OEMs selling "High End"PCs with integrated video will be forced into Q3tournaments using a TNT2M64!

DO you see P3-S version to sell some where at lease not in canada.I have never see 1.

At much lower speeds, the earlier Coppermine showed the PIII 733 was faster than the PIII 750 do to it's increased bus speed. The faster the processor is, the worse the bus speed limmitation gets. The 256k PIII Tualatin 1.2GHz performs much better than the Celeron Tualatin 1.2GHz simply because of the bus speed difference, it can be as much a 30% better, do to it's 33.3% higher bus speed.

mmmm no. not here anyway

that 512k tully is truly hard to find, and expensive to boot. better off getting an XP.
