tweakui short cut arrow errors

i just installed tweakui and it wont get rid of the short cut arrows.anybody know why?
win98 se
internet explorer 6
p3 1ghz
512mb ram
60gig maxtor hd

on the explorer tab i click none on the shortcut overlay,click apply and the shortcut arrows are still on my desktop icons.they wont go away.

Obtain one of those CD tool discs that you get from newsagents.
I forget the name of it now but there was a specific tool that got rid of the arrows on shortcuts.
