The ones with voltage controll are VERY HARD TO FIND. The ONLY place I know of to get ANY of them is at http://www.googlegear.com They sell the Abit Slotket III for only $8.99 under part number 707603. It allows voltage adjustments between 1.3v and 3.5v in small steps.
Well I guess you got the last one, because now they list a "Soyo" converter instead. Is that one any good? I looked at Soyo's website, and it doesn't say if it adjusts voltage or not. Also, for what it's worth, Intel does not recommend the Soyo converter (http://www.managedpc.com/support/processors/pentiumiii/ssalist.htm).
I just checked three days ago and they had it. Now they don't. When it's in stock, it's still hard to find, the best way being to search for it by part number. They have ran out before, and then got it back. I doubt the Soyo card has voltage controll.
I'm saying I don't know which ones have it besides the Abit Slotket III. I do know that Asus makes a version with voltage controll and several versions without. So if you were to order one of the other units you would be best advised to cross reference them at the manufacturers website.
Yes. You are aware that there are THREE Celeron Socket 370 processors, right? PPGA from 333 to 533, FC-PGA from 533 to 1.1GHz, and FC-PGA2 at 1.2GHz. The ones your talking about are FC-PGA, and are actually defective PIII's with the defective side of the cache disabled. For Slotkets that have a Celeron/Pentium III setting, the FC-PGA Celeron requires the PIII setting, and the older Celeron the Celeron setting. On the Slotket III the settings are called PPGA 370 and Coppermine.
