UPGRADING HARD DRIVE

Hi there,I own a toshiba satellite L775-111 laptop with 8GB of ram and 640GB hard drive.My question is a very simple one,is it possible to put a larger hard drive ie 1-1.5 tb in as a direct replacement.I cannot find any info on the Toshiba website.

make sure it is 2.5" or a laptop HDD. If its a desktop 3.5" it wont fit.

There are 1TB and 1.5TB drives available in 2.5", but the first generation of these were 12mm thick, so they didn't fit in most laptops (which require the 9.3mm thick drives). There is a new WD 1TB laptop drive which should fit, but you want to be certain you get the right one.

Apart from making sure that it will fit physically you should have no other problems with it.
