I just found this marvelous memory diagnostic tool:
<A HREF="http://www.memtest86.com" target="_new"> memtest86 </A>
Ideal to troubleshoot your system. This one *really* stresses your memory. I found that when running my DDR Ram with "ultra" settings and CAS 2 on my SiS735, it does generate some errors, even though my system appears completely stable running prime, toast, or seti. I also have had maybe one crash over many weeks (and thah was with Wolfenstein test tech demo).
Even so, just to be sure, I lowered the settings to "fast", and now memtest doesnt find anything.
I highly recommend everyone to run this test, and see if your really stable. You'r also welcome to post your findings.

I have been using memtest86 to find the proper memory speed settings for my machine as well. I have an ABIT KT7-RAID, and with the original BIOS, I could only use the 8/10ns memory setting. Since upgrading the BIOS, I can now use the highest setting (turbo) without any instability. Or so I thought!
While the machine has yet to freeze or lockup under Windows Me, memtest86 produced a rash of memory errors! I kept backing down on the memory settings until the memtest86 errors disappeared completely. Apparently, I was pushing my memory to the limit. While I did not have any stability issues, I am now running at a more conservative memory timing. Why wait for the crash to occur?
Memtest86 seems to be a very good memory diagnostic.

Nice program!
I tested my sys too and it appears to be completely stable.
I'm using 2x256MB Corsair PC2400 DDR @ 266 MHz on an Abit KG7-RAID with Turbo settings, and Memtest didn't give any errors.
I will test it again after my watercooling system is ready and I have OC'ed it to a 300 MHz FSB.
