Netowrk printer installations

Hello,
I am trying to install my HP laserjet 4 Plus onto my windows 7 (64bit) network. How do I do this

install the driver, plug it in, turn it on.

then make sure printer sharing is enabled in networking and sharing center

then go on any other pcs in your network go to devices and printers--tell it to add a network printer

and it should hopefully find it and install the drivers

or use homegroup --though i usually do it the first way as sometimes homegroups dont work right
