Ihave WindowMe loaded on my laptop and when I try defragging it alway starts over after 2-3% and then restarts, I have tried Maintenance Wizard and have the same trouble.

thats because something is using your hard drive. Take off any screen savers and power saving features (like turn of monitor after 5 minutes), and using ctrl+alt+Del manually close all the programs/processes that you can. Once you have done this, try running defraga again.

Most people can't afford WinXP (-thanks MS) at its incredibly high price... and piracy is 'illegal'. But hey, if you have a 'spare' copy lying around, you may as well put it to use.

I would never pay for a microsoft operating system, they've burned me too many times for me to support them. Piracy is easy with broadband. Microsoft can kiss my ass

unfortunately, as much as I agree with you, a lot of people do not and would rather play it safe.
