I'm looking to upgrade my 700 Tbird to either a 1.3 or 1.4GHz. It's just that I can get the 1.3 for about $100 and the 1.4 for about $140. Is the 1.4 really worth the extra $40? Also if you need to know, here are my system specs:

Gigabyte GA-7ZX
700MHz Tbird (200MHz bus)
512 meg CAS3 SDRAM
Gefore2 mx200
Soundblaster Live Value

If you have 7ZX rev.5.1 or greater you can run that board at a 133 bus. You could purchase a 1400(133) for close to $105-110 us. Unless you have pc100 ram and even then there is still a chance it would work if you raised your ram voltage.

Hell you could get an XP if you really wanted to stick a V8 in that gocart.

Take that 100 bucks and get a good videocard, that mx200 is pure [-peep-], for 169 you can have a gf3 ti 200 which will rock. you will notice MUCH more of an improvement than upgrading the processor.
