Hello,

I was told many good things about Asus then there are other people who say Dell is even better on the other hand there are those who say i should take Toshiba. But as far as Toshiba I read yesterday that Toshibas get overheated. And then there's Chinese Lenovo, to be honest I don't feel reliability with Chinese quality around me.

I'm really confused.

Could anyone tell me from his own experience what brand makes the most reliable laptops ? I don't want to repair it say after few months.

This will be for basic stuff surfing the net, typing/creating docs, watching a movie. Not to expensive something n the middle. I might leave it running for a longer time so it cannot overheat or something.

To be honest, all of them are made in china and Lenovo thinkpad is a sturdy design. Pretty much all brand at some point have a good and a bad quality laptop. So all of the brand have similar quality. If anyone have really crap quality, they will be out of the very competitive market by now. I think it is more important to concentrate on which model have history of known problem and which has quality reputation. And I can assure you that the lenovo thinkpad and Asus N series are well made because I am currently using them.
