What's the difference between Playstation and PSOne? I know the CPU is manufactured better- but what else?

Hm... I never knew they had some major performance changes. I thought that all did they was redesign it to be so much smaller. It'd be interesting to know, though

besides the size and some new mobile connections the "guts" have stayed the same per Sony
Basic Specifications and Features:
CPU 32 bit RISC (R3000 custom)
Clock speed 33.8688 MHz
Main Memory 2MB
Graphics PlayStation GPU
Graphics Memory 8Mbit
Sound SPU 24 ch
Sound Memory 4Mbit
Disc Drive CD-ROM 2 times speed

The PSone does have a way for you to hook up a 4" TFT LCD screen for mobile play. The screen is supposed to be out this spring.

Computers and Power Tools, what else do you need?

Does it run on batteries or something? Otherwise what's the point of a mobile screen if you still can't power up the console?
