Hello,

I am intrested in purchasing my first SSD, I looked online I found the ocz vertex 4 128gb, but the SSD is sata 3 and my board is sata,
Is it still worth me getting the ssd or should I try and find a cheaper sata 2 one because the performance will be the same.

I would look at getting the SSD and spending a little bit on a PCIe SATA3 card

SATA3 will work happily connected to SATA2 motherboard, you just won't reach it's full performance, but still a worthwhile purchase.
