Ok, lets see now...
A week ago I started a new Hotmail adress.
Today I logged in to check if I´ve got any mails, to my surprise there were 84 new mails, all from companies trying to sell hair products, porn, magazines, what have ya´.

Thing I want to know, how do companies look for mail adresses? do they use some sort of program searching all mailadresses for a specific word or what?

They probably run a program designed to send to "all@hotmail.com" or something like that.

Easy to get round. Just tick the boxes next to the crap and click the "block" option. You can also assign a level of junk mail filtering. Unread junkmail will be deleted eventually.

I guess the program looks for certain words, I have 4 hotmail accounts, it´s only this one that gets so much junk.
