PC to TV Connection vga problem not supported

Hi, I just got a new cord, that connects your laptop to a tv. So I already figured out how to connect the screens in dual, but everytime I just want the screen to show up on my tv, it says not supported? can you help me?

I seriously dont know what to do. It was all working at first, perfectly, but than something happened and it stoped working. I tried everything, but it still says not supported. When I click on dual screen, it works, than as soon as I click show only on tv or monitor, it says not supported.
