How to find the boot path for previously installed os

Hello,

how do find the bootpath for windows 7 which was my old OS from recently installed windows XP OS.
Since i have installed XP i could boot into my windows 7. It only boots in XP where do i find the boot path so that to add it in startup and recovery in XP

I'm not 100% sure but I think XP bootloader isn't compatible with Vista/7/8. It's recommended to install older OS 1st for that reason.
Try booting from Windows 7 DVD and use the repair (fix startup) option and then, if it doesn't add XP to 7's bootloader, add it yourself with BCDEDIT tool (in command prompt) within Windows 7.

if you installed the os on a seperate partition you can use easybcd to add it to your bootmenu
