Hello... does your Finger pad still work? un-plug your mouse and re-boot? Did you try another different mouse plugged into your laptop?

If neither your touchpad or mouse work, try hitting ctrl-alt-delete. If nothing happens, it's not your mouse freezing, it's your laptop freezing. If ctrl-alt-delete works (brings up task manager) then you may need to uninstall/reinstall your touchpad/mouse drivers.
