My laptop does not show usb device is connected

I have connected a keyboard and a mouse by USB to my Samsung Q330 laptop. The Safely Remove Hardware does not show these devices. How do I find them to unplug them safely?

You do not have to use safe unplug on mouse and keyboard. Safe remove option is really meant for usb storage (HDD, DVD, and flash drive) from accidental removal to prevent data lost.
