So if the a7v266-e uses the internal thermal diode of athlon xps, how is the temp going to be different from a sensor that just touches the back of the cpu? Will the temps be higher because its internal?
Anyone who has an a7v xp combo, what is your temp?

I think the temps will be higher because the temps inside the processor are slightly higher then the ones on the surface of the CPU. They also will be more accurate.

My case has so many fans that it hovers above the ground  .

I have the A7V266-E with a XP 1800+. I have the jumpers set to internal diode. Swiftech MCX-462 hsf. Idle cpu=48c / mb=24c. With Toast running for 4 hours, cpu=50c / mb=26c. Temps run about 2 degrees higher than under chip. I still think its cooler than that and ASUS needs to update the BIOS.
