More Information

Hi.
Does anyone know, what migth be the problem in my system.
tnt2 32Mb(asusv3800TVR) AGP2X sideband enabled
Celeron II 900@1200 9.0 x 133
Memory 256Mb(222 turbo)133MHz
MB soltek65fvb with via4in1 drivers (4in1434)
Via Apollo Pro chipset + VT82C596B

3dmark2000 score 2874
CPU MARK 187

Compared systems with same or lower cpu and TNT2 gets usually 250 CPU points or more???

Also Pifast compared to similar systems shows like 137 secs(mysystem) - 80 secs (similar system)(WimMe + W2K).
Is the problem with via4in1 -drivers or what??
Or is that mobo really that slow?

"Is that board based on the Apollo Pro 133 or 133A chipset? If it is the original 133 chipset the memory performance of the chipset isn't very good. If there is an option in the BIOS to enable 4-way interleaving, turn it on. If there isn't an option for this, try getting the file made by George Reese or maybe it's Breese, to enable it for you.
You can get it HERE <http://www.viahardware.com/download/viatweak.shtm>. The file is called 4-way interleave. "

Thanks Un4given (sharkyextreme)
My system isn´t still a good one, but much better.

3dmark score before the driver 2874
and after 3324.

CPU mark 187 and now 272 !!!

Pifast before 137 and now 100

I think thats the best I can get without changing the motherboard

More Information

Please keep in mind, enabling 4way interleave on that board might ruin its stablility. If you experience any lockups, crashes, whatever, suspect the interleave option b4 anything else.
