Not sure if its in the right thread, but i was assigned to add certain sites in the trusted zone without GPO. I'm not a programmer, but they want me to write a logon script that would add "www.domain.com" upon user logon without wiping what they already have. Could anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks for your help

Hopefully I'm not necroing - but....

Trusted sites are kept in the registry.
Probably the easiest thing to do would be to create a .reg file with all of the trusted sites, put it in your netlogon directory, and point your startup script to it. :)

I've also PM'd you, if you have any questions about how to do this.

GPO Preferences it. It is stupid to make additional work via a logon script/scripting when the GPO will easily accomplish this.

That being said, it is like that the AD structure and GPOs are a mess. This is the case at most companies.. which is why I can understand they wanting to go the scripting route.

I'm assuming the OP mentioned logon script for a reason, rather than GPO.

Still, you are dead on the money - Group Policy does a great job of managing all of this.
