I upgraded from a duron700/FIC AZ-11 to Athlon 1.1 FSB 200. The motherboard is only 100 and will not run at 133. The new processor shows at 850MHz. I know the MB gets the multiplier from the processor, and I get the FSB from the MB. I ran AMD's CPUinfo and wcpuid. Both stated it is running at 850. The processor I purchased is suppose to be 100X11.

All I have read, there is nothing I can identify this problem or nothing by serial number verify I have a 100X11 processor.

Anyone have any info that will help me?

What does the marking on its die state (<b><font color=red>B</b></font color=red> for FSB 200 or <font color=red><b>C</b></font color=red> for FSB 266)? My guess is you got an Athlon C 1.13G FSB 266 (8.5*133) not 1.1G FSB 200.

 Good or Bad have no meaning at all, depends on what your point of view is.

Thanks for the info. It gave me an idea what to look for. On AMD's web page, I found the Athlon Processor data sheet. It identifies how to descramble the info on the top of the AMD processor.

A1100AMS3C

A-AMD Atholon Processor Model 4
1100- Speed
A-Package type
M-Operating Voltage
S-Die Temp
3-Size of L2 Cache
C-FSB (B=200 C=266)

Thanks
