It sounds like your windows installation is damaged or your hard disk is malfunctioning. Does the hard disk appear in your BIOS menu? Hit the F2 key and see if a hard disk is detected.

What version of Windows is this?

Insert a Windows disk and try and run the repair utilities.

On second thought, it could also be a hardware malfunction lingering. Do you have anything attached to the machine? If so, disconnect it.

You can torrent a copy of a windows disk. Make sure you get your appropriate version. If your PC came with windows installed from a manufacturer, get an OEM copy, else get a retail copy.
