Just curious.

I have 512mb , was thing of adding either another 512 (for 1 Gig) or another
1 Gig for `.5 Gig).

Will I see that big of a difference from 1 to 1.5 Gig ?

TIA.

It all depends on what you do with your computer. 3D rendering? Editing of
extremely large photos? Number crunching of massive data bases?

I never felt short of RAM on my 8300 at work. I have 1g on my home PC.
The only difference for gaming is not game speed, but maybe reloading
levels from disk cache (or image cache can be enabled in some games). So
I imagine a 2x256 dual channel PC3200 kit (or 2 matched sticks) should do.
