Which is faster, a celeron 800 or an AMD K6-2/450? Where can I find this info? Thanks!

A Celeron 800 would be faster than a K6-2 450.
But an El Camino is also faster than a Pinto.

a trick question!

800 on a 810 against K6-2 450 on aladdin? I bet K6-II is a wee-bit faster. else i give up, Celeron is faster!

how about comparing the Celeron 800 on a 810 board and a K6-II 450/500 on a SiS530 board (both have integrated display)

but for a normal system Celeron will beat the K6, thanks to its 100 MHz FSB and higher core speed.

interesting would be to compare them MHz for MHz, FSB to FSB, which is unfortunatly not possible, unless we somehow run the K6-II (500/550 MHz) at 800 MHz! or a Celeron at 500 MHz (100x5? that would be Celeron 333 MHz)

can anybody do such an experiment?

yes, TTL for such tests is long expired, but it would be fun!

You know, you could put a Geforce 3 TI500 in one of those. It'd be like souping up a Metro to race in Nascar.
