Problems with internet connection

Cheers to you all.

I got the problem with internet connection in Win 7 ultimate. When i restart or shout down and turn on my computer , sometimes i lost my internet connection. Then i open the Network and Sharing center - Network Connections and there is Local Area Connection , but i must first disable it and then enable it again , to make internet work.

Why is it happening?

are you hooked to a router or directly to a modem, is it DHCP capable
