Hello, thx for help and reading this.
Ill try to keep a long story short.
Was updating drivers. - Removed Etron Usb3.0 .. After install/uninstall/TRYING to update... I noticed an update is showing as version .115, yet this is showing even when reverted to an earlier version like .107.
Updating will not work either. The installers pick x86 for 64-bit[[Im assuming]] but then I get an error msg saying its incompatible. BUT I have 64-bit. Ive tried manually selecting the x64 when I can, and those drivers[and Install Wizard] install fine. But shouldnt I be using 64-bit.??
Thing is,... After I accidently removed the Etron USB driver, - I had installed 3 other driver updates, and one was a chipset I believe, - because one "DRIVER UPDATE" program was picking up 7-8 out-of-date-drivers,- and after that update,- it only had 3 drivers needing update..... BUT another program showed I had only updated the 1 driver. It didnt show anthing else as being effected... Btw one driver was a Realtek, for Audio,. the other I think was a LAN?, or maybe Wireless Driver. The one I THINK that was downloaded / installed, - (and possibly even wrong OS(x64)) is """"Intel(R) 6 Series/C200 Series Chipset Family USB Enhanced Host Controller - 1C2D
BTW....this "UPDATE" program started the install, and picked installation perameters for me right when it finished downloading them, so the 3 it installed I couldnt control. I have only been able to pick up 4 drivers, then it was 2,... now 0 need updating... I didnt do anthing since either. The other program is still detecting the same required updates though.
Could one of the drivers I installed, switched the way 64-bit / 32-bit is being recognized?? The installations are picking the right OS as x86, but yet the software is incompatible.
I can get the 32-bit USB drivers to install for USB3.0,.. but should I remove this completely and reinstall??Since its showing improper version of .115 even when i only have .107 installed?
EDIT...---- or would I just be getting installation errors anyway>>? I just noticed when I reinstalled my driver from manufacturers website that they gave me x64 installation package... but then why would my computer be selecting the x86 drivers to install instead of the x64s also included in the same package..??? This is whats confusing me.,, and thinking I may have messed something up with the other couple automatic driver installs....
