Intel, your decent into full trolldom, as opposed to a half assed attempt to gain some credibility, is going rather well. Keep up the good work little troll.

It IS an AMD. As they do run hotter, AMD's are for more experienced users that know how to properly cool a cpu. Nothing against p4's, But it's AMD for me.

I don;t think it is the SIS 735, to my knowledge all have only 3 dimm sockets making 2 gb of ram highly unlikely.

I am thinking it is a p4 1.4 gig
Sis 645 chipset
pc 2400 DDR
60 gxp ( should have went with maxtor here)
8500 or 7500 who knows
audigy

OK, clearing up the ibm murk.

The 75gxp has many reliability issues, there is a class action lawsuit about it, i myself have 2 dead ones awaiting rma.

The 60 gxp is faster, and has no reliability concerns, and it is one of the fastest harddrives available today.

Any more questions?

Amds dont run hotter than p4's kelledin has all the technical papers to prove it from amd and intels sites.

This is another myth per5petuated by intel trolls and amd overclockers.

The cold truth is, if you do not overclock the stock heatsink works great!

I think you just made Fugger,Meltdown,Intel_Inside, and Juin cry.
This m/b is not that ECS that everybody has been complaining about though is it? Or is it the only SiS 735 out there?

Holy sh!t Rcf bought an amd.....the end of the world is coming.

Intel inside, your post was a troll post, dont try and get off by using amd mas forgiving nature to make yourself feel better.

"when he comes and tells us about his fried cpu, we will know which one he bought"

If you think that statement wasnt trolling you need to be shot.

Run along little one, back under the bridge.

The only reason was because northwood wasnt going to have Hyper Threading on it. I'm aiming at getting the sucessor of Northwood as my next chip.

Heh, i know something secret about hyperthreading.

My wifes cousin, works for intel. He either heads or is high up on the food chain, of a group which optimises code for the p4 and some ia64. On christmas he came to visit the family and we got into a nice conversation about hyperthreading, and he told me that performance gains vary, and the MAIN factor is cache hits/misses heh.

Apparently if an application has no cache misses, then the hyperthreading does NOTHING! It only works on cache misses!!!

So a well coded application will not take much advantage from jackson/hyperthreading, and only apps with alot of misprediction/cachemisses will see any benifit!!!

He also told me from 10-15% performance benifit on average, and 50% benifits are much rarer than everyone thinks.

Interesting, but don't forget that many apps nowadays are unoptimized.
