SSD in Sony VGN-FW490

I have a Sony VAIO VGN-FW490J. I got it in July, 2009. I'd like to upgrade the hard drive to a Samsung 470 series 128GB SSD. Sony parts said that SSD's were not compatible with this notebook. I think it was actually available with an SSD when I ordered it. I'm using Win7 64bit SP1. I upgraded from VISTA without problem.

Is it possible to install an SSD in this notebook. Web articles make it look possible.

Thanks,
David

Hello DavidM10;

Should be no problem installing the 2.5" SATA II SAMSUNG 470 MZ-5PA12 SSD in place of the 2.5" SATA II HDD that came installed in the laptop.
