The BX chipset cannot use the new PIII core, so no, you will have to upgrade your board to use that chip.

Check out my rig:

yes it can if its a Pentium-III 1.13 GHz processor and not a 1.13A GHz one. The "A" version is the Tualatin model that cannot work with older chipsets, while the 1.13 GHz is the same old Coppermine core that should work on most of the BX boards.

To get the 1.13A working you will need the Powerleap IP3T adapter, but check if your board supports that card on the Powerleap site

Wasnt the 1.13 GHz recalled ? Did they ever ship a stable, non-tualatin version of the 1.13 ? I thought not, but I could be wrong..

Most Slot 1 motherboards can use the Powerleap iP3t adapter and a Tualatin processor, you might be able to get the Tualatin Celeron 1.2GHz combo from them and overclock it to 1600MHz, depending on your memory, video card, and the abilities of the individual processor you receive.

What's the frequency, Kenneth?
