Hello,
I installed the Realtek High definition audio driver(windows xp)on my laptop Acer aspire 5734z.
The driver got updated and now there is no yellow question mark sign on the driver name"Audio driver on high definition audio bus"in the device manager.

But still there is no sound coming.I played some music, some videos.Even when laptop starts there is no sound of windows xp.
I checked my volume settings also.

Please help regarding this.

Thanks

The troubleshooter detected two problems with my system saying :

1.Low audio device volume
2.Audio device isn't set as default

I have windows XP installed on my laptop.
Please guide me the further steps to fix these bugs.

Thanks

Hi

I checked the default devices list both in Voice Playback and Voice Recording but there is only one device in the list of Default device. So I don't have any other option to select.

Also when I gone through the Volume control in Voice playback all volumes are fine. But in Voice recording Volume control the Mic Volume and the stereo Mix volume controllers are setted in the mid and not moving upwards while dragging.
Is this can be the cause?

or my sound driver I installed is wrong?

Still no sound coming from my laptop.

Please help.

Thanks
