Yep thats right AMD have struck a deal with Hitachi to supply them with the NEW Small Form Factor (SFF) Athlon XP's (1.3Ghz) for their 'Flora 330 silent model'. The new processor will be debuting on February 25th 2002.

The new packaging and design will result in lower heat consumption and less fan noise. The processor is expected to be priced at 115,000 YEN.

I expect the SFF Athlon XP will be made using the .13micron process.
Does this mean we will see ultra slim ATHLON XP laptop computers soon ??

Actually, it is the price of the system (~$950), not the processor itself.

It is low, the electric power consumption edition Athlon 1500+ (the operational clock 1.3gHz), the AMD the SFF (the Small Form Factor) with the processor which was developed in for the desktop, by the fact that clock frequency is changed dynamically in compliance with the demand for the system, it can do electric power consumption and to hold down heat generation. Clock frequency, change to the 300MHz - the 1.3gHz being possible, corresponds to the change to 32 stages as a function of the processor, but with " FLORA 330 " they must be with 5 stages. As for FSB 200MHz. </i><<
