I own a MN500 Wireless router, and I also have a linksys
DSL/Router. In total I hook up 7 computers to both of
these routers. It was working beautifully but I ran into
a problem. My Printer is wireless 802.11b and the
computers that I hooked up into the linksys router
couldn't print to the printer. I needed to figure out a
way to get all the computers on the same 192.168.2.X. So
what I finally figured out to do was put the MN500 in
Bridging mode and setup the linksys for RIP1. All the
computers could then share files, print etc. It was
wonderfull. Now here's were the problem lies. I noticed
on the DHCP log file I have an intruder coming through on
the wifi connection of the MN500. Is there a way to
configure the MN500 wifi security while still haveing it
in bridging mode?

Set the MN-500 up using Media Access Control (MAC address) filtering and
change the channel. There's a description of MAC filtering about page 73 in
the User's Guide, and MVP Barb Bowman wrote an excellent article on the
Expert Zone back in January about segmented LANs:

Sounds good but how do I access the
BaseStationManagementTools for the MN-500 to filter the
mac address? Onces it's in bridging mode I can't access
it through the program or IP in a browser. Another
question would be how can I switch out of bridgeing mode?

You can start all over, using a pen or unfolded paperclip in the Reset hole
on the back (hold for more than five seconds to get the alternating
orange/green lights) and then just connect to the MN-500 with an Ethernet
cable from any computer to reprogram it. It will be reset to the default
192.168.2.1 IP address, so you go to that address in your browser.
Remember, you'll need to change it for access mode.

Remember to check out Barb's article I posted earlier.
