forgive me for posting this at cpu but posted at its proper section with no reply.

my question is: is there any compatibility issue between graphic cards with KyroII chipset and 3Dmax or autocad? or any other software? does this chipset support these progrmas without crash?

system AMD1700+, soltek sl-75drv2, 512bm ddr, windows 2k sp2

in Windows OS, i don't think you have compatibility problems with.
it might be true 10 years ago, but not for now.

most of recent softwares dialog with OS through APIs (like eg DirectX or OpenGL) but not directly with hardware.

in otherwords it depend of your driver effectiveness to implement DirectX/OpenGL APIs & not of your hardware itself.

you can nevertheless check the gc constructor site or 3DMAX site. they precise sometimes hardware/driver incompatibilities.

note:
this is true for recent software versions.
but if you have old DOS software versions, this is an other history.

if you know you don't know, the way could be more easy.
