Hi,
I know that b/c the T-Bird and AXP run more ipc than the P4, they run hotter. Would there be any sort of correlation one could use to calculate actual processing power?

My rice car will leave your R8500 in the dust!

Doubt it, transistor layout on the chip itself also determines the heat produced. Number of transistors in the core is also another variable.

True...but if there was some way of excluding those extra factors; ie like - a constant, and then one that variates according to processor.
