How to format runnung hdd

Hello,
i am not IT guy,i want to install windows 7 in my laptop which having vista ,32 bit
,i already purchased w-7 dvd,can u plz just guide? i don't want to reformat my hdd as i don't have driver dvd,any any one guide?plz

You don't need a driver dvd to install Windows 7 onto your laptop.
What is the make/model of the laptop and I can direct you to the manufacturer's website where you can download all the drivers you will need.

You should've come here before purchasing the Win 7 DVD

from inside of vista disk management create a new partition and then format it.
Then buy a dvd player and install W7 on the second partition and then you will have Vista and W7.
