I cant get internet access although network working i this norton

Hello,
i have been having problems with NORTON ANTIVIRUS and when i clicked on it nothing happens also i cant now get access to the INTERNET yesterday i had to go to a RESTORE point but INTERNT ACCESS was ok after i did this i just seemed to drop out when i clicked on NORTON ICON helo

If its Norton, UNINSTALL Norton and reinstall form its cd...you DID PAY for it WITHIN the last year of course ?
