E172FP's limited angle adjustment

I have an E172FP LCD monitor and I am annoyed by the fact that it does
not allow me to angle it back as much as I'd like. This is especially
irksome because I can't see any reason why it has such a limited range of
motion -- it's not as if there are wires that need to be threaded through
the joint. I'm sorely tempted to take the thing apart to see if I can
file something down so that the monitor will incline farther back.

Am I the only one who's bothered by this?
