xp1800 only at 1.15ghz?

The problem I am having is that I cannot set my athlon xp1800 to 1.533 and load window XP, it hangs up. If I set the cpu to 1.150 it runs stable. Everytime I set the cpu back to 1.533 it hangs right before the os loads.

Asus A7V266-E
Athlon XP1800
Kingston 512DDR pc2100 memory (2 x 256)
Asus Ti500 64DDR meg video
Audigy Platinum sound card
Pioneer 16x10x40 cd-writer
DVD rom drive
Antec Case w/ 300w ps
5 1/2" bay dual fan

I believe the power supply maybe needs to be 350w

What do you guys think?

I have the same board and cpu. Double check all jumpers. Especially PALO_FREQ Page 20-4) in the manual (Set it to Palomino).
Also in BIOS, disable the onboard sound and place the Audigy Platinum sound card in PCI slot #4. Let us know if that works.
