New printer cannot support old dos programs

Hello,
Just got a new printer thet runs nicely under win 7. But when i invoke an old dos program thats looking for LPT1 it chokes. Is there an adapter cable?

Check to see whether you can change the program to output to a file. If it can't, try to find a TSR (resident DOS program) which captures LPT port and saves it into a file.
