Is PAL6035 and 80mm fan enough to cool AthlonXP?

I want to use a Sunon 80mm case fan for my Alpha PAL6035 heatsink with a 60mm to 80mm fan adapter. Will this be enough to keep my 1700+ cool?
I had a very loud 7500rpm fan before that I couldnt stand anymore and this solution would be as quiet as the rest of my case fans.

Are you planning to overclock?
Are you useing Arctic Silver II as the thermal paste?

If you're not overclocking then I'm sure you'll be fine. The Athlon XPs run cooler than the T-Birds.

I forgot some of that information sorry about that but thank you for your reply.

No, I am not planning on overclocking this CPU. I am still using the same tube of Arctic Silver (not AS2) that I bought about 1 1/2 ago for my Thunderbird 700. Its from the same company at arcticsilver.com.
